hello

The Peoples Double

Richard Sterry started at 6pm Friday the 26th  from Eastbourne and rode through the night before signing on for the BHF randonee and riding back to Eastbourne. With a seriously impressive support crew from Redhill CC he arrived back at 17:31 for a 23 hours and 31 minute total time, raising more than £1500 for the BHF along the way.

Two other riders also did SDWx2, Peter Hutson and Roger Easterbrook. Aiming for a 28 to 30 hour time, they started a couple of hours before Richard and were passed by him around Cocking, before all 3 signing on to the BHF event, turning round and riding back. Peter and Roger beat their target time, coming in at 27 hours 27 minutes, a very solid and understated couple of guys.

All 3 of them have been planning and training for the ride for some time, clearly all realistic about their expected times too but immensely satisifed with their achievement, and the money they've raised for the BHF.

Richard is used an Exposure MaXx-D and joystick to keep his attempt at the Double on track throughout the night!

USE and Exposure Lights would like to congratulate Richard, Peter and Roger on their fantastic achievements .
