Bat Man's Choice!

Exposure Lights' Joystick MaXx has become the "torch of choice" for bat fans. UK company Batbox Ltd are the Exposure Lights of bat detectors. Also based in Sussex UK they design and make the Worlds leading ultrasonic detectors and recorders. When a bat is detected a visual identification is next but conventional torches are not bright enough or give out heat from regular bulbs that the bats can sense. This makes the Joystick an ideal choice for bat spotters and conservationists. Bat "watching" is a global activity with some of the most incredible species found in large caves in countries like Borneo.

I used the MaXx level to do some non-intrusive photography, instead of flash and the colours only needed slight adjustment because the light is almost the correct colour temperature. I found that I was spotting bats that others were missing with ordinary torches."
