Alan Sheldon wins Yukon Arctic Challenge!

News Update :
Well done lads! Alan Sheldon (pic .right) held onto his lead in this extreme winter race, pushing and pedaling his specially prepared snow bicycle to first place overall with more than a day's lead. The only bike rider in the race it was always a gamble on weather conditions for Alan if this would be the best way forward on the snow. We look forward to his full report soon.

Andy Heading was competing on the more common snow shoes, a new mode of transport for Andy who, like Alan is more familiar with distance snow events on wheels. Up against some of the worlds most experienced explorer-racers, Andy finished a fantastic 4th overall and 3rd on foot. Again we look forward to Andy's story and pictures when they have recovered from their 8day+ adventure.

Working closely with Alan and Andy, Exposure made custom head torch versions of the Joystick MaXx-2. Running a cable from the head unit to separate battery and control unit means they can keep the Li-Ion battery warm inside their clothing for better performance in the sub zero temperatures. Exposure's piggyback battery system allowed Alan and Andy to travel with minimum weight and ultimate burn times.

It is expected that these head torches will form the basis of a new product category for Exposure next winter with requests already present from many Adventure Racing teams and outdoors enthusiasts. To keep posted on developments make sure you are getting our e-news letters.
