For Goodness Shakes
The Lake Wettern bike race is epic. It is a one-lap road ride clockwise around a stretch of water so large you can’t see the other side. You start in waves of 50 people in 2 minute intervals any time between 8. 30pm and 5. 30am and you just keep on riding until you’re back at Motala on the East side of the lake. 19,000 people entered this year and I was lucky enough to win a place to ride thanks to a competition run by ‘wiggle’, organised by their supplier Nemesis;......more
TEAM USE
The two USE teams proved to be a surprisingly quick around the 9 mile circuit. Trevor Allen riding a Scott Spark dragged the 'A' side to 29th place covering a total of 24 laps. Trevor showed his gritty racing ability and proved his speed, putting in lap times around the 48 minute mark. No mean feat given that he peddled twice as many laps as some other team members. Special mention should also go to James Fowler as he came through the transition area in 1 hour only a few minutes...Singular
The Singular Cycles team took a convincing win in the single speed catagory at OS Mountain Mayhem they won by over a lap. The team put in a consistantly strong performance to secure the victory. Only slowing slightly at night due ot the new team lights they were presented with for the event. The outsatnding rider for the team was Steve Webb posting times between 44 and 48 minutes.
