I happen to have a dropper post on my bike and whenever I put my bike in my mechanics stand, which is always, I always had to take my light off of the seat post. Now this really isn’t a big deal but this light mount resolves this issue. It’s such an ingenious little product. Amazing how something so inexpensive works wonders.
fits well and keeps the seat post clear of "junk", so easy bike cleaning and avoids the need to remove the light to mount the bike on the stand for maintenance.
Works ok, however the rubber band causes the mount to expand slightly which allows the Boost light to rattle in the mount.
Perhaps a better design would be where the rubber band wraps over the light holding it into the mount?
I got two and managed to break one trying to remove a light. It’s a stiffer, more brittle plastic than the one used for the GoPro-style mount. Recommend removing the whole mount if you need to remove the light, rather than trying to detach the light while the mount is in place. Nice design, otherwise, and allows a very clean, low profile mount under the seat.
The location for mounting a light is perfect, but the clamp around the light sits so tight that is impossible to remove it without the whole bracket. A screw fixed mount would work better…
Does not fit the rail bars of my saddle unfortunately. My wife’s bike the fitting will fit her saddle. For the price of the component in my opinion its very expensive and will not fit all saddles I have found.
