Engineered for riders who refuse to let nightfall limit their adventure, the MAXx-D 17 redefines what's possible after dark. Delivering a blistering 4850 lumens of refined output, the 17 lights the trail with relentless intensity while weighing in at just 403g.
The new and improved lensing on the 17 has improved the visibility no end, the addition of another 45°-15° Oval Beam wide lens increases the spread of light helping see when cornering. The 2X 16° Spot Beams give that long distance punch giving you the confidence to push the boundaries of your nighttime riding.
The 17 now features fast USB-C PD charging with both input and output capability so you can quickly recharge the light or power your essential gear off-grid. A full charge takes just 4 hours, giving you more time to ride and less time waiting.
A newly upgraded colour OLED display provides at-a-glance data on mode, output, and runtime, while the refined interface makes operation smoother than ever. With seven customisable programs, you can fine-tune brightness and runtime from 2 hours up to 36 hours, adapting instantly to your ride conditions.
Precision-engineered from CNC-machined 6063 aluminium and finished in our signature gunmetal grey hard anodising, the 17 is built to take a beating. With IK09 impact resistance and IP67 water and dust ingress protection, it’s ready for the harshest trails and toughest weather.

Reflex 2.0
REFLEX 2.0 automatically adjusts the light to provide boosted output when riding hard and fast then intuitively dims for the slower sections such as climbs. This is all to optimise battery capacity, to provide extra light when needed and save it when not required. REFLEX achieves this by using data from 3D digital accelerometers including gyroscope and
thermistors. It continually analyses the data to make seamless adjustments to benefit the rider, probably better than the rider can. It is a form of artificial intelligence. The selected run time will be achieved by averaging the output over the period.
Power Bank Mode
Power bank mode enables the charging of other devices direct from the lights USB-C port.
USB-C
USB-C PD charging enables one cable convenience and improved charge times by up to 66%. Now with the added benefit of being charged from portable power banks for maximum versatility.
Intelligent Thermal Management
Patented circuitry within the light will reduce power to the LEDs, if they go beyond the optimum temperature, keeping the light as efficient as possible to maximise output and battery capacity. Once the light has cooled, the power is automatically restored.

6 days from order to delivery to my door step . Only issue is a $301.00 charge from FED EX for duties. Exposure team is researching overcharge . Great product and so far exceptional service. My Exposure bike lights outlast all .
I was in need of a new front light after using some cheaper options for a few years. I made the decision to get an Exposure light ending up deciding to get the Maxx-D. It has transformed winter riding for me where my only option is to ride outside. With 12hrs battery life on low (plenty for roads and less technical tracks) and then 6 hrs on medium it is plenty for most night/morning rides. The quality is really good and having a battery in build with the light compared to other brands is a big plus too. Now I'm happy to ride any time of day and never really worried about battery life, especially when riding into the dark!
The Exposure Maxx-D is an absolute beast of a light. The wide, powerful beam properly opens up the trail and gives loads of confidence on dark lanes and off-road riding. Battery life is reliable all year round, even in winter, and the battery display means no guessing. Solid, weatherproof, easy to use with gloves on — it’s one of those lights you fit and trust in any conditions.
Amazing light
The Maxx-D 17 is a great light with improved Reflex 2.0 program mode from my older SixPack mk11, and a nice slightly wider beam that has zero hotspots.

I bought Exposure D-Maxx for a day and night enduro as I was needing to update my lights. The power and battery life you get from the D-Maxx is incredible. It’s a lot of money to upfront, definitely worth the money and I look forward to many years use.
Fantastic piece of kit………the build quality is exceptional………the light from this thing is amazing……..a must have for dark evenings mountain biking during the winter months.

Bought myself the latest Maxx-D after renting a Toro at the 2025 Strathpuffer and it's a great bit of kit. The light it provides is so much better than my previous Lezyne and the Reflex mode is brilliant. Invest in one if you can!

Absolutely love this light! It’s expensive, but worth every penny. The brightness is incredible — it lights up the trail like daylight. Super easy to use with lots of program options, and I really like that you can recharge anytime without affecting battery life. Top-quality and totally reliable.

First Ride in June with the lights from Exposure. Front and rear lights. Rear light is perfect, especially for longer rides. In the front I choosed Programm 3, longest battery time, but I realized that the brighter mode here is not enough above all in technical downhill areas. I will test the other modes and will se what works best for me. I think I have to add a helmet light.
Very good light. I have the MaxxD-13 and was used to that beam profile. The 17 is a bit different so it will take some getting used to. Still a very VERY good light. Battery life is fantastic
The light itself works well, but the clamp system came loose during the event( trans baviaans 24hr race). The screw which attaches the two clamp ends was lost. Then the clip that attaches the light to the clip was stuck until I used lubricant and a lot of elbow grease to get it out. Probably corrugations and vibrations( to be expected on a ride like this), but this is an ultra premium product and I expected more from it, to be honest.
